Today finally, Our President showed he really does have some balls. Like Daniel going into the Lions Den, Obama faced his nemesis. He was Amazing. He showed he new his stuff not backing down from any tough and perhaps harsh verbal assaults.
Kudos to the repukes who invited him in the first place. Somehow I think they didn't think he would really come. He did! A fine job he did. Oscar

I promised a story about Oscar the Xmas dog. As best as my memory provides this is how it went down. Because of a stroke years ago my emotions are very hard to control. I cry at a good commercial on TV. Now forward that many years. I had just lost my cat to old age. We were close. A year later I lost my friend, my dog Buddy. We had to put him down cause he had Cancer of the face. I never heard of such a thing. What a great dog he was. It seems like six months went by and Xmas rolled around. My son and his future wife came home with a beagle mix puppy for me that holiday as I was very depressed. The dog was given to them at a small convenient store. There was two dogs left and they picked one. They brought him home and he peed on the rug. Mel was not to happy. I was! The kids asked me what I wanted to name him. I said without hesitation Oscar. They stopped in their tracks, staring at each other. They said your kidding, that's crazy! Why I said,Cause that's his name already as given to him by the guy getting rid of him. Just weird, what's the chances of that. Unfortunately since we lost our home I couldn't keep him but my son has him at their house. I do once in a while get to see him as well as my other cat that they took in for me. I'm looking forward to when some day we once again can have an animal. Oscar will make a great dog for Carly due Feb.10. Sometimes things work out.

Big uproar over using the term Negro and I don't know why. My wife and kids say that no one uses that term but old people. I didn't know that I shouldn't. So what are we supposed to call them "blacks". They don't seem black to me, more like different shades of brown. African Americans, OK but what if your not from Africa say Haiti for example. I think that would make them a little put off. If Negro is so offensive then why is it on the census?
Maybe I don't like being a Caucasian. That term seems old. White, I'm not very white more like a light brown. Seems were all a little sensitive these days. Now if Negros want to be categorized by an other general term, let us know what it is. I'll call you anything you want, just get a consensus on it. If I were to give whites and blacks new terminology I vote for "Shades" for people of darker color and "Tints for those of less color. Your Thoughts...

Apathy

As most of us I'm following what's going on with security at Airports. I seen this thing on TV showing a woman lifting a security rope at an Airport so her friend could avoid lines. The news people keep showing this and say how the system is broke. While I agree that it is, no one is saying a freaking thing about all the people that were there right next to the perpetrators. Not one person said Boo. Just went about their business and didn't give a thought that they may have been terrorist. I think we all have to be diligent and when we see something speak the fuck up. We really have to do something about apathy but then again who cares.
